Fabric Choices

The difference between Super 120s, Super 130s, and Super 150s fabrics lies in their fineness and quality, determined by the yarn's thickness used in weaving. Super 120s fabric is made from finer yarns than standard wool, offering a balance between durability and softness, making it ideal for everyday wear. Super 130s fabric uses even finer yarns, resulting in a softer and more luxurious feel while maintaining good durability, suitable for both daily and special occasions. Super 150s fabric, crafted from the finest yarns, provides exceptional softness, a luxurious drape, and a lightweight feel, though it requires more care due to its delicate nature. These gradations in fabric quality allow clients to choose the level of refinement and luxury that best suits their needs and preferences.

Fused-Half Canvas-Full Canvas

Fused, half, and full canvas jackets differ in how the canvas is attached to the fabric, which affects the jacket's fit, feel, and durability:

Fused

The interlining is glued directly to the fabric, making the jacket stiffer and less flexible than other types. The glue can weaken over time and cause bubbling. Fused jackets are a good option for a single event.
Half canvas

The canvas is only used in certain areas, like the chest and lapel, and the upper half of the jacket isn't fused. Half canvas jackets are more comfortable and better fitting than fused jackets, but less structured and lighter than full canvas jackets. Some people prefer the lighter feel of half canvas jackets, especially in warmer weather.
Full canvas

The canvas is stitched to the fabric, which provides a better construction and a more luxurious look. The jacket is more flexible and moves with the wearer, so there's minimal strain and no pressure points. Full canvas jackets are also more durable and can last longer than other types. However, they are more expensive and time-consuming to make.

Custom Lapels

Custom suit lapels come in three primary types: notch, peak, and shawl, each offering distinct style elements and suited for different occasions. The notch lapel, characterized by a small cut-out where the lapel meets the collar, is the most versatile and commonly used, perfect for business suits and everyday wear. Peak lapels, featuring pointed edges that angle upwards towards the shoulders, convey a more formal and authoritative look, often seen on double-breasted suits and formal attire. The shawl lapel, with its smooth, rounded edge, is typically reserved for tuxedos and evening wear, providing a sleek and elegant appearance. Lapel sizes can also be customized, with narrower lapels creating a modern and slim silhouette, while wider lapels offer a classic and bold statement. Simply put, functioning buttons on a suit jacket sleeve are called surgeon's cuffs. Sometimes we call them working button holes. Perhaps the most known indicator of a bespoke suite.

Patterns That Line Up

We strive to create suits that have a clean visual appearance. Lining up the patterns is the best way to do this. What does this mean exactly? A well-made suit will have patterns that match at the seams, pockets, and sleeves. This requires time, more fabric, and skill. It can't be done by sweatshop labor. It can only be done by skilled, trained, and experienced tailors.
